Friends are one's greatest treasure. Lucky is the man who can value true friendship and preserve them in the ever changing face of life's conundrums.
It's been an year and a half since I started to blog and I have seen and learnt a lot here. My social circle has expanded and lateral thinking enhanced. Though I never thought I would get attached to anyone on a personal basis on this platform, I have ended up making some wonderful friends here, and for that I am extremely grateful.
As most of you might know (from posts on Div and Lena's blogs here and here), today is the First Anniversary of The Dumbi Gang, comprising Div, Lena, Preeti and me. It's not exactly today that this gang was formed because we met each other at different times last year; Lena and I met on Orkut last September thanks to a mutual friend, I came across Preeti's blog last October (again thanks to a mutual blogger friend), and then finally Divya in early December (thanks to Lena' s blog).
How we meet people and how long we are friends doesn't really matter. What matters is the level of understanding and the love we have for one another. Gender, caste, creed, religion, nationality, medium etc., are just physical barriers. Feelings and emotions transcend them all. In today's world where life is uncertain than ever before, having even a single true friend to lean upon is a blessing. And I am lucky that I have these three gems in my chest of Friendship. Do join us in our First Anniversary Celebrations at our very own blog, christened but of course as The Dumbi Gang! Enjoy yourself at the party and savor your share of the cake :)
